Backlit Daffodil

This was taken last spring, since my daffodils are not yet blooming this year. I liked the effect of the setting sun backlighting the flower.

Canon T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/6.3 for 1/125 sec. ISO 200. Tripod mounted, natural lighting, gold reflector used to add light to front of flower.

A very interesting contrast shot as the flower seems to be floating since you can not make out the stem. I also like the back lighting effect, well done.

A very interesting perspective and some really nice backlighting Carolyn. I find daffodils hard to shoot - so I feel like you did a really good job with this one.

Beautiful Carolyn! Great handling of the highlights and the shadows. Very pleasing colors and composition. The unusual shape of the leaves adds a lot. Nicely done!

Love the high contrast, Carolyn - beautifully carried off ! I like the sense of depth around the flower - very nicely composed.
