Pinhole

I often read the photo gear oriented boards and see page after page of people debating if one lens is a tiny bit sharper than another. It brings out the "subversive" in me. I head in the opposite direction. Lately, I've been playing with no lens on my camera at all. I have a body cap that has a tiny hole laser drilled in it--a pinhole. It's fun! I like the soft look. I've been taking a few shots with it on my latest outings. Here, I found a grain train parked in a siding at Benson, MN. Camera was a Nikon D7100, not that it matters here. The viewfinder is VERY dark and I have to shade my eye as I look through it, to adjust to the darkness. I still haven't figured out how to focus very well.

A digital pinhole! I don't know that I have ever seen that before. It has a much different look than the 4x5 pinhole images I have seen.

Interesting Kent, learned something new today. Innovative technique, sounds like you're having fun with it as well.
