your shot had me reaching for my glasses to give them a polish thinking there was some smear on them that was giving a fuzzy look ... i like the concept of the comp but the orton thing is a bit much for me. but that's just me.

You don't list your exposure info and I'm curious how you were able to keep the foliage in good focus with what I assume was a fairly slow shutter speed. Even in relatively calm conditions I would think the foliage would sway some. Love the tremendous feeling of movement you captured with this image.

I really like your treatment of this image Daniel. It expresses a nice sense of serenity that keeps me coming back for more and the composition is simple but still appealing. Well done.

Very nicely seen and captured. The SS is spot on. I wonder if the orton effect is a bit heavy here, personally, but that is a small nit. Your comp is very solid.

This is lovely, I'm guessing a half second exposure so you had the potential for movement in the leaves, yet they look beautifully still.

The exposure was 0.5 sec. I shot this a number of times and kept the one with the least (none had no movement) branch movement.

Very nice composition, Daniel. The orton is a little strong but not a deal breaker at all. I would consider cropping this from the left to eliminate the trunk of the tree, leaving just the branches and the falls.

I really like the comp here, Daniel. Most of the leaves in front of the water look sharp but have a green halo around them, which looks a little funky, and suggests to me that you blended 2 exposures, or maybe used a flash (?). The prominent bloom on the ulc is blurry and does distract a little.

A convincing presentation of an amazing scene to me, Daniel!
The Orton effect isn't just my cup of tea, but this is a minor matter for me.

I think this is really good, well thought out and executed.
Dreamy and captures the intimacy of the Gorge falls when you are hiking around them very well.
There is a bit of a smudging around the edges of the plant which would be easily fixed.
Congrats on very nice work.

I really like the concept, especially the transition from soft moving water with lots of steps to bright green leaves with flowers and then the subtle but rock solid tree trunk on the left. I encourage you to try some other angles (and maybe you already have) where the branches arc across more of the frame. The green halo from the Orton effect is a subtle distraction as I spend more time looking and you may not need it to get what for me is the attraction here...the transition from ephemeral to solid anchored by the lovely spring green leaves and creamy flowers.

Wonderful concept and image Daniel. The orton is a little strong for me but that's just me. Wonderful image though.
