Spring

I think this is a nice composition. Very pretty. I'm not a photo art photog, frankly not too big on it usually, and probably have no business commenting here. But, this is a pleasing image to me. I like the lines, especially of the left side flower, the combination of colors. My favorite element is the black tops of the stamens.

Thank you Alan, That is one of the best comment a guy could give a girl and I will treasure it. (heads up I am married )
The fact it made you even take the time to view my image is reason enough to make it and you have every right to comment , who knows maybe your getting soft and you might have a bit of a photo art guy in you ready to leap out !! I am just happy you liked it . Whats the point of making any kind of art if there is no one to share it with!!

Well, I think I'm slowly learning that I can improve my skills by stepping back and looking at others work that is different from what I do. By the way, I was just scrolling throught the PhotoArt Gallery and the Calla thumbnail from a month ago caught my eye. Thought it was really good. Clicked on it and saw it was yours. So.....now I'm gonna have to go study your gallery. I initially found NPN because I was researching Louisiana Wildlife photogs and Ronnie Gaubert's gallery popped up. He was an instant favorite for me. I'm so glad because I'm finding some great photogs like you and the others here that are teaching me, just by displaying your work. So, thank you! I'm also intrigued by the Petzval lens. Never heard of it and will research it now. As for my Floral PhotoArt future, not sure, but my wife does occasionally laugh at me after I unconsciuosly rearrange a bedroom or bathroom she's working on. Her comment is usually something like, "Um, I think you need to reconsider your calling in life from construction worker to interior designer." After that, I usually go downstairs to the garage, grab a beer and a hammer, and go look for something to whack in a manly way! LOL

Lorna and Alan, don't mean to interrupt the conversation but I wanted to jump in and comment on this post.
This is very nice Lorna,
The simple elegance, the colors and the texture of this image combine to make this a very pleasing image. I can see this in a fancy frame hanging in the living room.
Well done . . .

Interrupt any time Mike !!

Thanks again Alan. I would like to see just one post from you to photo art !! Come on you know you want too !!
