Death Valley Dusk

My wife and I are moving to Anchorage, Alaska from Chicago and stopped by Death Valley NP last week on our way to Alaska. It was our 3rd visit to Death Valley, and this trip was no less spectacular than the first two.

I took this image with the Canon 24mm TS lens, which I'm just getting the hang of. The final images is from 2 shifted photos combined in PS. I believe I used a couple degrees of tilt. Actually, this is from 4 images since I bracketed the exposures to create two 32bit files that were stitched together in PS then edited in LR.

One of my absolute most favored places in the world. I like the soft colors and nice patterns in the sand. Good Luck in Alaska

Real nice mood and subdued colors. This image works nicely.

Good luck with the move!

It must be fun learning to play with that 24mm! I like the softness of the photo, not to in your face explosion of light like most landscapes. Good luck on the rest of your trip!

Love this colour palette Jon looks vaguely Scottish in hue.

I like the comp and the sky is terrific.
Not sure about the magenta hue of the sand.....
