An early bloomer on our local prairies and a true beauty. Taken on a stroll around the preserve this morning.

5diii, 300mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC + 31 mm extension tube, propped on a Skimmer ground pod, f7.1, 1/800, iso 1000, Av mode, 2/3 stop exposure compensation. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped from a horizontal original to a 4x5 portrait aspect ratio (full size vertically). Some minor cloning to remove a grass blade that crossed came in at an angle that was at odds with all the other lines in the image. Taken this morning at 7:21 am.

Your comments and criticisms are most welcome.

Thanks for looking,

Looks like the King, Queen, Princes and an admiring multitude! Excellent comp, Dennis, as well as a beautiful subject.

Fantastic isolation of this subject Dennis. Great POV in my opinion.
