As the daffodils begin to fade a maple spreads its boughs of fresh Spring leaves over them. A shot taken in the gardens of an 18th century English country house.

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 64mm, 1/160sec @ f13, ISO 400; some glow in Perfect Effects

Great spread of yellow leaves against the darker greens. The daffodils along the bottom add a nice touch of "spice".

Looks like a wonderful maple tree and garden. I like the composition with the flowing branches and flowers going along the bottom of the image. I think this would look great in some afternoon light.

Beautiful tree, Ian. Also like the composition with the main truck on the right and the flow of the branches from right to left. However, I feel the image needs more contrast and this light (or the effects) makes everything look somewhat flat.

Lovely layering in this image, Ian. I like the new growth colors of the maple leaves. Very nicely composed.

Ian: One MUST view the larger version. Wasn't sure what I was looking at from the thumbnail but the bigger it gets the better. Marvelous scene superbly composed and captured. Your recent work has demonstrated great depth in subject matter and presentation. :toast: :toast: >=))>
