April Surprise

I had forgotten all about the lunar eclipse, when I woke up in the middle of the night with back pain. I looked out the window and was so excited. I took my pain meds, grabbed my tripod and camera and ran outside. Here is the fruit of my labor. If you enlarge, you will understand my crop...there is a faint star above the moon, that I included in my photo.

A beautiful portrait of the eclipse. Excellent detail, and I like the 2 stars included.

I like the detail and color in the moon, but the two stars add interest to the image.

Lucy: I woke up late like you but was too lazy to break out the camera so I just observed and enjoyed for a while. Nicely done. >=))>

Nice photo! Glad you didn't miss the eclipse. I too had to take pain meds for my back just to be able to get out to photograph the eclipse...

You did well Lucy. I like the crop with the moon and the two "stars". There a nice balance with the planet in the lower right. We were completely overcast so...maybe next time.
