Angkor Wat, Cambodia

Angkor Wat is one of the most atmospheric and unforgettable places I've visited.

I thought this belonged in the M&N gallery, as opposed to POP photos, because nature is an integral part of the structures at Angkor Wat: the trees now hold up many of the walls!

Taken eons ago (2005), with equipment that was inferior to what we all shoot with now... but I'm going through my archives to glean shots that I think are worth saving from my many trips abroad. I wish I could revisit all the places I've been with the gear and knowledge I have now! Alas, the best I can do is use modern re-processing software to get the most out of the images I captured... and hope for the best.

Those are some massive trees. I like the conversion as it appears to tame some of the exposure issues you have with the image. The composition works, and I like the peeks through the back doorways.

Rebecka, this is a really cool looking image, must have been an interesting experience for sure. I don't believe I have ever seen a place like this before. Your B&W conversion looks great, with very good details and the sepia tone works well. My only nit would be clipped highlights at the top right of the trunk, would be worth fixing if possible.
