This pond had such gorgeous flowers, that I took quite a few shots more than necessary. I liked this one best....Hope you do, too. :wavey:

Beautiful spring flowers, a treat for the eyes.
I might try to bring up some of the dark shadows.

Dan, I actually deepened the shadows (maybe too much) to bring more attention to the flowers and the pond. What do others out there think?

Yes, BB and Ind Ptbrush  They were so intense, that you would swear they would glow after dark.

Beautiful spring scene, nice mix of paintbrush & bluebonnets Lucy.
Not quite enough rain in Central Texas this year, not many bluebonnets..
Great post, well done!

Looks like a good year for wildflowers down in the hill country. I definitely need to make it down there next year.

Brian,
Howard is in the Hill Country, and, as you see, he said that they did not have a good show this year. We are not in the Hill Country. I am located SW of Houston, but travel an hour North of Houston to Brenham, Independence, and Washington on the Brazos.

You need to drive the Bluebonnet trails, that have had a very cold winter and lots of spring rain. We never know, from year to year, where the best areas are going to be. But, the Texas Dept. of Transportation (TxDOT) has a spot on their site ...or you can call them...to find the best areas at the time.

Nice, And it's still below freezing here in the mornings and looks like fresh snow up on top this morning.......
Lovely color in this. Regarding the dark areas, I think I like what you did to help bring out the color. I too wondered about having more detail in the dark areas, but the focus here is on that color, and it's gorgeous.
...and I won't be able to put flowers outside for another month......
