Lost birds, call if seen

At least if feels that way. this is a pair that's been making nesting motions in one of our boxes for a month, successfully beating off the competing tree swallows. Yesterday morning, they failed to appear and haven't been back today. Not the most natural perch, but it was where I managed to catch them together.

1Div, 500mm f4 ISL + 2.0TC, Jobu Gimbal on RRS legs, f10, 1/1000, iso 500, aperture priority, -1/3 stop compensation. Processed in LR5 & CS6, cropped to 12.1MP of the original 16. Taken April 14th at 7:12 am.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

thanks for looking,

And such a nice couple too. Neat to get a shot of them both together this way.

Nice look at this pair Dennis. I agree a more natural perch would be more desirable. Good job with the DOF, both birds look nice and sharp.

Nice work to get the pair. A (very) little more eye contact would be nice. They probably didn't go far. :toast:

Kudos to the bluebirds if they can keep the Tree Swallows away. Always interesting to get a pair. Well done.
