Jabiru
by Ken Archer
Another cool bird from the Ibera Marshes. We saw several of these large beauties, but they turned out to be very camera shy and were quickly on the move when-ever we tried to photograph them. Luckily for us this one hung out for a moments, giving us a few preening and calling photos before wandering away.

I guess Keith is correct about its name, Jabiru. This is the bird that is very common in Pantanal, Brazil, a wonderful place here in Brazil, excellent for nature photography.
A Sweet Capture of an unfamiliar guy! Well Done !
In the larger version , Good details in darker areas and love the small feathers protruding from top of its head.
Enjoy the Unique pose here too!
Cheers
