This is from my work at Valley Forge. I used a Tamron 10-24 lens. It was processed with Lightroom and photoshop CC. I love the critiques, good or bad! Thank you!

Jeff,
While I am not qualified to give a critique, while viewing the image I wished for a brighter cabin in the foreground. Not sure what that does to the sky, or whether you would dodge the cabin and burn the sky. Lovely composition of great subject matter.

I like the ‘feel’ of this. The stark leafless trees, spartan cabins… And drifting ..mute lifeless clouds. I would only want to pull back and show more of the grassy field …esp left side which helps draw out the isolation of this. And pop a little more light in the darker shade areas. Nicely done!

Jeff, I like this a whole lot, and in essence, your processing choices fit the scene. However, I too would like to see at least the foreground cabin just a tad brighter. The effect you have here is akin to using a "glamour glow" filter (post processing), which really affects the contrast by darkening the shadow areas.
Also, I do note in the large version, that there is a lack of DOF, which really has the background trees rendered a bit blurry. Nothing you can do now, but I would consider a smaller aperture in the future, or multiple exposures using a focus stacking technique. Images like this (whatever that is) seem to call for complete DOF fore to aft, IMO of course.

Thank you Patrick, Ken and Michael. I agree 100% about the cabin. I have no idea why it is darkened so much. The lighting is fine on the desktop and other picture sites (500px). I can't explain why it is darkened so much here.

I really like the mood. Perhaps a tad too much glow for my taste.
