Yellow-billed Spoonbill - April 2014

One of the things I really like about lying down and just waiting or being in a 'wait & see' hide is how totally oblivious some birds are to your presence.

1D4 500/f4 1.4X
ISO 400 f8 1/2000 full frame plus extra canvas added to the top

cheers
Rob

Unusual pose. I really like it. The intent stare of the spoonbill makes this for me. The background and water is very nice. Well done.

I too love it when the birds are oblivious to your presence. The perspective and detail are excellent.

This is beautiful Rob. Perfect exposure and color tone.
Unusual pose, like the top POV of the head/eye.
Sharp details, well done! :toast:

Great shot. The narrow zone of sharpness really works well here. Detail and exposure on the money as always. :toast:

The low angle really adds to the power of the shot, Rob. The angle and leg lift give the photo some nice tension, too.

Great head on look Rob. Super detail and exceptional job with the exposure. Nice job with the added canvas.
It is pretty special to watch birds unaffected by your presence.

Way to cool, wonderful pose and low perspective with just a hint of eye contact, well done Rob.
