'Drying Time'

Typical Anhinga drying pose but I thought the colorful surroundings added a bit of interest. Almost lost the whites in the wings, I am interested on how they look on your monitors. Camera HH from boat cropped a little off the right to 8x10 format.

The green leaves interspersed with some red makes for a very attractive setting Mike.
Not the usually seen 'drying' perch either..
Nice details, colors, and pose - Well done! :toast:

A very different perch than I'm used to seeing an Anhinga drying on. The environment makes for a very attractive setting. The back curl on the neck is nice as is the partial breeding color around the eye. On my monitor the white feathers in the wing are on the hot side. With this much dark detail you may have to dual process and then blend the two with a mask.

The whites don't look blown to me, Mike, though there's not a lot of detail in them. Still, they're pretty small areas,so they wouldn't show much detail in the size of image you can post. Blacks on the back are looking blocked in places. A little playing with shadows/highlights might bring a bit of texture out in both.
