When I was little...

Sorry, could not resist posting this one, I think it may also need a 'Cute' warning too.

I'm reckoning this Little owl is perhaps around 7-9 weeks old, just one big fluff ball, but already the hunting instinct has kicked in. This is one of three owlets that hatched last year, so far I have found only the two older ones so far, parents are also missing.

Could have done with a bit more DoF, but SS & light was starting to becoming an issue.

Cheers
Steve

Yup, definitely warrants a cute warning. The detail looks good. I just wish he was looking more at us.

Thanks folks. :wavey:

Rick, I for one invariably try to see with the subject looking to camera as I feel the subject then engages with the viewer, however at times I think it good to have an image that conveys the moment or behavioural aspect. Don't worry, if you want an image looking at you, just wait...

Dof is adequate for me, Steve. Definitely cute, and very well photographed.
