Another fall shot, seeming very out of place now that it is spring, but a nice scene anyway. North Lake in the Southeastern Sierras.

Canon 5d,M3, IDO100, 32 mm, f/14, 1/10sec.

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

Lovely glowing light on the peak and in it's reflection. As a very minor nit, I'd think a bit more space up top would be a subtle improvement.

What a gorgeous scene and well-captured Kathy. The light is beautiful and I like the inclusion of the foreground rocks. Like Mark, I would like to see a tad more sky above that peak. And, (I drive myself crazy with this), I'm wondering if the shoreline is as level as it could be. I must visit the Sierras some day.

Kathy, when things are right at North Lake they're hard to beat for fall color viewing and photography. It's one of the most shot areas during the peak autumn season. Nicely captured scene.

A very pleasant scene, Kathy. If you were to mask the sky and then apply a fair amount of contrast to the rest of it, maybe even dropping the brightness a bit to prevent blowing out the yellows, it would really 'Pop'.

Sweet scene, Kathy. I love the fall colors and man that is a blue sky. We get alot of skies like that in Southern Utah. People often think they are saturated too much but that's exactly how they are. I agree with the others about having more room up top, but very nice as is.

Kathy,
Sweet image, beautiful place and great colors.
I like it just the way it is, no changes, after all the water is the main subject in a post for the "Calm Water WC' and this has the water framed out perfectly.
Nicely done . . . :toast:

Lovely scene you captured here, Kathy, but what really makes this image stand out is the fantastic lighting on the mountain and colored trees. Love the color combo of blue and yellow in this scene. To give a bit more balance, one thought I had was to crop out the rocks at the bottom to get the horizon more on the lower 2/3 line and place most emphasis on the yellow hill and its reflection. But. . .others like the inclusion of these, so, of course, it is what you as an artist wish to to do! Nice comp and well-taken shot, Kathy.
