Rose-breasted Grosbeak

A spring image from my backyard taken from a window in the house. This is the first time I've had this species here, although I've seen/photographed them elsewhere in the area. He played hard to get for a couple of days...only would show up close enough when the window was closed.

50D, 700mm, ISO 400, 1/50, F8 Beanbag on windowsill. LARGER version available.
Thanks for looking/commenting. I appreciate and learn from you all! Sharon

Great image, Sharon.
Very beautiful bird.

Excellent, Sharon. He's a real beauty. Nice head turn a sweet bg and tack sharp with perfect exposure. Couldn't ask for more.

Absolutely beautiful image Sharon. Love the soft light and the spots of pink in the BG really help make the red stand out as well.

This is a beauty, Sharon. The bird is pretty, and the pinks, greens, and reds of the background complement it well.

Very beautiful bird, and your image has done full justice to its beauty. The pink and green blurred bg only accentuates this even more. You must insist on viewers looking at the larger photo - it is stunning.
