Gorgeous image, Gigi. Exquisite detail throughout and I love the composition. If I had to come up with a nit, the two toned bg isn't quite ideal. In particular the boundary between the green and blue is in a bit of an awkward place. However, the subject more than makes up for those minor issues.

Sweet, all but the two toned BG. I've seen this planted here, but I didn't know it was edible.

The flower is lovely, but it's the white "fur" that is the star here. Great processing job here, keeping the fur white but not over sharpened.

Extraordinary detail and glowing colour, Gigi ! I would myself put in a good word for the unusual bands of colour in the background - for me they work beautifully.

Very interesting composition with the back lighting to show off the hairs and create a wonderful contrast. I like seeing how one flower is open with the other buds in various stages. It would of been nice to have a solid background color but the image really stands out very well.

I love the details in the stem (all of the hairs) and the bloom is beautiful. The BG is not working for me - with the gray area merging at the top with where the bloom hits. I think if it went from darker to green, and stayed that way, then I would be OK with it.

Gigi: Floral bling! I kind of go along with the others regarding the BG but when I scroll down and crop off 30-40% of the gray it works better for me. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

Wonderful comp on the flower, the backlighting of the petals and hair really make this pop. With all that detail I kind of wish you had done a focus stack to get it all sharp. I think the background is a little distracting with the 3 graduations of color, but I think the flower stills commands the attention. Really well done,

Incredible details and the bokeh is totally sweet. Too bad the hairs on the stem at one o'clock are not in focus but still a eye popping image nonetheless.
