My Virginia Bluebells are blooming nicely right now so I've been trying to get varying photos of these beauties. Here is one of my images. . .but more may come. I want to go out tomorrow and try again.

Canon 60D. 180mm macro lens. F/3.5 for 1/1250 sec. ISO 250. Tripod mounted, natural lighting. Soft focus and glamour glow filters applied in processing.

Gosh, I wish we had some nice colorful flowers around our area like this one. It's gorgeous, Carolyn. In fact, seeing your softness applied in processing to the scene has me hankering to try out my latest lens for my MF camera. It's an actual soft focus lens. Old style approach I know, but keeps me experimenting and tinkering with my older gear.

Nice isolation Carolyn. I love the vibrant colors amongst the greens. The softness works well. If I had my 'druthers, I might suggest softening the purple circle in the top left.

Nathan, I definitely agree with you about softening that purple area in the top left. I will work at tweaking that before posting on my website.

Exquisite use of the filters, Carolyn ! There's a very sweet play between sharp and soft throughout the image, and the light and colour are delightful. Very beautiful !!

beautifully captured Carolyn. I might like to see OOF blooms removed as my untrained eye tends to be distracted to them. It might just be that the left leaves lead to the left bloom.

I like the added punch from the 'glamour' glow Carolyn, nice.
Have that software, but forget to experiment with it.. you've reminded me to try it when applicable
Like the arched stem & the bluebells pop on the green:toast:
Have a great weekend :wavey:
