On my recent trip birds were in very short supply, at least at a reasonable distance. This Tawny was taken just after take off in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe.

Very nice, Ken. Very sharp image.
I liked the position of the wing.

Great bird with nice lighting. There appears to be a touch of a halo around the bird from post processing but that's minor

I like the light, it has rendered the orange/brown 'tawny' plumage beautifully.
Sharp details, great POV and pose. Another possibility is a 4:5 vertical for a closer look.
Well done Ken:toast:

Great wing position with nice detail in the Eagle. What is the darkening on the sides? An intentional vignette or something else?

Rick,
Now you have pointed the darkening out I can see it as well, it is not a vignette. It could be as a result of the "halo"?
