Havasu Sunset

I'm in South Dakota right now, headed out to West Yellowstone, Montana to begin another season of Smokejumping. I'm looking forward to it with both excitement and dread, but mostly the former. The photo I'm posting today was another from a trip down into Havasu Canyon, and is of one of those moments where the grandeur of the scene just doesn't completely come through in the image, though I do love it. I was halfway through the long, steep climb out of Havasu Canyon when I looked up from my feet and saw this, and figured it was a good time to take a break! Hopefully I'll be posting some good firefighting images soon.

Nice layered look, Tom. Beautiful sky, although it looks a little to blue on my monitor. Could be a problem on my end. Good luck in the up coming fire season. Hopefully you won't have to work too hard.

I might ease off the blues a bit, but a very dramatic sky and I like the metallic look the the rock formation.
Maybe a bit less contrast or a bit more light at the bottom?

Agreed about the blues (and the metallic tones; nice!). Lovely sky with that exception.
