A nice composition Robert. Nice details on the stamen (pistils - whatever ). I think a tad more room at the top would help, and the light is quite dull - I think you could adjust the RAW file some to pull some more light out of the flower and it would help.

Bob - Beautiful shot with great DOF. Centering is an option here and a touch more space at the top might be great as well. Like Nathan said, you can work the RAW file to improve the slightly dark feel to this.

Overall I agree with Nathan's comments Robert.
I like the details at the anthers, and the stigma at center's well seen.
I might suggest pulling up the mid-tones using curves at the center line to improve this.
It would + the overall brightness & contrast.

Superb job of getting the pistil and stamens all in the same focal plane, Bob. Maybe a touch more room on the top?

Hi Robert, nice shot of the pistols and stamen. The pollen detail is superb. Agree with the notion already mentioned to lighten it up…and add room at top. Well done.

Love the composition, Bob, though I agree about just a touch more room at the top and a brighter look. Great clarity in the stigma and anthers.

Strong composition Robert. I agree with the others about brightening this a bit and adding a little space at the top.

Hi Robert :wavey: I think the lighting on a image depends on the many conditions, was the subject originally darkish. or lightish. do you want to keep the light as it was. or change the light to something it never was? to for better or worse ... . and remember most viewers like it brighter than darker . so dont shoot in too low light, which seems to be my problem sometimes.. here i agree with Nathan , Here the light is a bit dull.. and the image needs room on the top. the detail and composition are very good... keep up the good work..
