This is the same Spider Lily posted by Mark Seaver back in March from our Florida trip to the Ocala National Forest. Mark's perspective was from the front of the boat and mine from the rear. Hand held, natural light under the forest canopy, full frame.

Strong comp Mike and I certainly like the crisp centers of the flowers. Whites look perfect to me. As a nit, I find the curving stem in the bg a little distracting. No big deal though. I like the mood created and the image as posted.

A beautiful photo of beautiful flowers, Mike. The atmosphere of the forest is very well represented. I love the two flowers hand by hand.
Take care.

Mike - I have found this a tough flower to photograph with its complex shape. You have done well here. Whites look nice and so does the DOF. A slightly more uniform and blurred background might have been more pleasing but not a deal breaker.

Great composition and detail captured Mike. Well taken and displayed in my opinion.

I remember Dennis posted the SL set back in the frame, I like this version a lot too.
If I had to pick which I liked best, it would have to a toss-up of course:wink:
Nice! :toast:
