This past spring was a nice surprise. In spite of poor rainfall here in California, the poppies mad a pretty decent showing, especially along the Merced River Canyon. The way the flowers meandered along the hillside between the rocks reminded me of a river cascading.

Your thoughts appreciated. The larger this is the more stunning, however it the larger version here took a big compression hit.

4x5, Nikon 300 mm f/9, Fuji Provia 100F.

I like this a lot, Youssef. The poppies are excellent, and I like the rock bands. You might consider cropping out the bit of sky, since it's kind of an eye-grabber. Nice find!

Sweet poppy scene, Youssef. I would concur with Mr. Birdwell's crop suggestion.

Wow Youssef, this is wonderful. I love the cascading poppies and the dark rocks. Aside from the already mentioned spot of light at the top, this is killer.

Wonderful image, love the "sea of blossoms" effect. And I agree with the cropping suggestion.

Beautiful scene and image. I love the flowers and how you include the rocks in the image. I also suggest to crop out the sky

Hi Youssef :wavey: The lines of yellow poppies running through the scene, makes a breathtaking image.. a wee crop on top, would make this even better

Thank you for the feedback. I made the crop and it really did make a difference. I also adjusted the color balance a bit
