Olympus E5, ZD300 2.8, 1.4xTC, ISO200, f7.1, 1/1000 resting on vehicle window

Found this guy catching some warm sun this evening on a short drive. Wish the grass wasn't in front of him, but was just happy to get a good shot or two. This was cropped some.

David,

This is great, the grass has little in the way of "distraction" for me, perhaps a little more sharpening

Very nice light and detail in the fur, nice catch light in the eyes, and terrific that he stopped digging long enough to look right at you.

Hello David

Great to see another Mammal. Never have seen these guys in the wild yet. Enjoy the Image with his busy work excavating in view.

The Horizontal Light OOF in foregroung is distracting. But I find the Image Sharp with detail.

Thanks for sharing

Bill

Bill wrote my critique! Everything is fine for me here, except that horizontal line. What it that, anyway?

Thanks for the comments. I didn't like the foreground either, but this is the best shot of a badger I have gotten, so I'll live with it. Phil, that horizontal line is an out-of-focus line of barbed wire. I had to shoot through the fence line, and at least I was able to get the badger itself in the clear.
