Another shot from our recent Texas trip, this image was taken from a boat at the rookery islands off of Rockport, TX.

Nice colors on the bird which stand out nicely from the gray bg. Nice and sharp, too! Sharon

Ok, Nate...I am going to have to plan my Texas trip a bit differently next year. I wanted to see these guys so badly and was told it wasn't the right time of year....but you were there about the same time. Love this (always wanted one myself, so a bit envious) and don't think it could have come out any better. :toast:

Thanks everyone. Kurt, these guys are definitely around in spring, it's probably the best time to get them as they are at their rookeries.

Sweet flight image, Nate. And excellent detail for that much glass (handheld from the boat, I presume). To answer Kurt, they are usually in very good numbers at Smith Oaks this time of year.

Nice flight shot and management of the colors. How do they fly with that big, round bill?
