This is another one from the french Jura. This waterfalls are called Cascade des Billaude. It was a rainy morning a couple of weeks ago. I'm interested in thoughts of this one. I really did like the lush greens...I'm not quiet happy with the color of the water but due to heavy rain the water was rather brown than clear.

Wow Bill, that is some serious water coming your way. As you mentioned the greens in the FG rocks are amazing. It could be just me but the main falls look soft . Perhaps it is just the amount of water coming over them coupled with the mist. It's a stark contrast to the sharp foreground. Anyway it seems to throw me off a bit. Otherwise I like the comp very much.

The color of the water doesn't bother me Bill, I like this image. My only suggestion would be a tighter crop at the top, just above the beginning of the waterfall. The brighter part in the distance behind the waterfall keeps pulling my eyes.

Bill,

This works very well for me just as posted. I suppose you might drop the green and yellow luminance a touch but I'm not color calibrated on this Mac Powerbook and this may also be due to JPEG conversion. In any event, if it is too bright, it's only slightly so. Very nice image.

I agree with you about the water, I actually would like a bit more on top….

Very nice scene Bill and the comp and greens look great to me. Also the water looks fine to me as I rather like the fore ground colors. Very nice job on this.

What a great looking place this is, Bill. The moss covered rocks and detail you captured in them is wonderful. The background has a softer feel which is probably from all the mist off the water and I think it works quite nice. I can just hear the sounds of this falls while looking at this and it makes me wish I was there!
