This was taken inside, with only weak backlight coming from the window. i wish i had a better choice of light . but i had to do with what light was available. as the flowers were freshly cut and were at their best.. .as i mentioned on the other post. these were the first and only flowers from my garden .. comments appreciated.. please see large version

Fine processing, Albert. The center of the flower is grand. Mixed emotions about clipping the petals. Nice high-key approach.

Best wishes for the holiday weekend.

Not dingy at all Albert. I'm not a real fan of high key but I do like this.

Very nice high key presentation, Albert. Beautiful clarity through out. The clipped petals don't bother me in the least. The main show is right on. :toast:

Really good backlit presentation! I'm not bothered by the clipped petals, as it was in all probability a deliberate move. As an artistic decision, I can respect it because it emphasizes the all important center section. :toast:

Albert - I like this much better than the previous version you posted. Light here has illuminated even the central cone and the structures inside it while the higher intensity light has brought out the textures nicely.

Like it exactly as posted.

Albert:

This is a challenging flower with its long cone and you did well here. Ditto Ram's comment. :toast:

Beautiful Albert! Love the transparent look. Curious why you didn't include the whole flower. It looks great as is, but was curious. Well done!
