May 18, 2014 This is nearly a full frame photo. My lens was so large that I was unable to get his wings into the frame once he flew. Going back today with a smaller lens.

Nikon D4 600mm ISO320 1/1600 f/10 White balance sunny Processed in Lightroom, PSCC, NIK and TK

Love Love this!! I think a tad more contrast will set it over the edge!

I love the extension of the body you caught along with the tippy toe touch. The details on the body and near wing are wonderful. The back wing is lacking some detail and color. I might consider cloning out the upper snag or at least part of it to give a full separation between the bird and it. What an awesome experience you are having with these peregrines! How close to the edge are YOU hanging? ! Sharon

Sharon,
We were shooting between 2 inches and three feet from the edge of the cliff. Not as dangerous as it sounds.

super shot Patrick. Great pose and great detail
my only niggle is the jutting piece of rock immediately behind the bird's feet. :toast:
