I grew up as a boy less than a mile away from Disneyland, brings back memories.
And we always had the fireworks throughout the summer to watch..
I don't think this was there in the sixties, the park has changed dramatically I'm sure.
I see why you composed this way, keeping the walkways in, upper left/lower right at the base.
Needs a slight CCR though. That would change the comp quite a bit of course.

I played with one variation in a 1:2 ratio that loses the walkways and one turret left.
You're tight left in the original.. Makes the castle look extremely tall.
Will post it if you like? Or have ya had enough of me

Howard, this was taken at the 16mm end and had a lot of vertical and horizontal distortion. In attempting to correct for that and tilt, trying to keep all the building in left a little distortion. I lost the most real estate on the left side. Here is the original, where you can see the distortion.

I wanted the walkway because of the evening light and lamplight on it, which looked really good to me, and offsets the coldness of the castle.

Go ahead and post if you like.

Simply explored what I could do to eliminate the vertical distortion of the 16mm Phil.
I too like the lamp lit walkways, and late light there..
You warmed the color, so I think the hot pink of the castle adds plenty of warmth.
My version's tight I know, but it's all I could come up with:wink:

This is from another frame, with a bit more of the left side. I left a little of the vertical distortion in and reprocessed the color somewhat. It looks like a bit of lean to the right, but this is an illusion. I straightened it with the virtual plumb line. I think I will be satisfied with this one.

I was going to just email, but decided to 'public' so to speak.
Perhaps I got off in the weeds here Phil? I did not by any means intended to be overly critical.
Just think that the exchange of different ideas is a good thing.
I learned from others input over the years, wish there was more of it here..
You take what you need, and disregard the rest.
And I like your final output best :wavey:
