This was somewhere along UT 24 in Capitol Reef NP. I am enamored by what, to quote Edward Abbey, "a liberal allowance of time" can display in these little slices of nature that are often abstract, but always fascinating.

Another interesting abstract Bill. For me, the most interesting part of the image is in the top 2/3 and I might be tempted to crop away the bottom 1/3. However, the image holds my interest as posted. Well seen and presented.

Bill, This is really cool looking. The colors and textures are wonderful. Your large version works especially well.

This is very nice, Bill. There are many areas around CRNP that have these wall displays in various shapes, sizes, and colors. This one is very appealing as a fine abstract.

Nice abstract, Bill.

Just wondering what this would look like with the darks dropped a bit, and maybe a little less magenta.

This would be an ideal candidate for TK's Luminosity Masks.

I am unsure about a crop because the streaks lead upward to the cool stuff at the top. Nicely seen.

Nice abstract, Bill. I like it . There are are so many opportunities to get lost in the intimate details of this landscape. Great job in finding one. :wavey:

Real nice rock abstract. A fine combo of rock patterns and colors.

This is a great "realistic abstract". The shapes near the top are very sensuous and the staining below them adds nicely to the story with their own textures. It would be interesting to see an alternative view focused tightly on the formation at the top.

I like this a bunch Bill - The formations look polished and the color variations are sweet.
