Sony A77
Minolta 100mm macro
ISO 200, 1/40 @ f22

Shot this little beauty at dawn to catch the nice warm side light that hits our garden on Spring mornings. Had to break out my old faithful 100mm as my stalwart 200mm is undergoing some repairs. I accidentally bumped my camera rig while loading the car one morning and my A77 and 200 hit the concrete garage floor when my unextended tripod tipped over. Not a good sound. Lost the Steady Shot feature on the camera and the lens is stiff and binding when focusing. Sony repaired the camera and its good as new but the 200 is at KEH being evaluated. Hoping they can work some magic as I can't imagine shooting without it. Keep your collective fingers crossed. All comments welcome.>=))>

Good luck on the lens, Bill. I did a similar thing earlier this year. Lucked out with only some scuffing on camera body. Really nice light and comp. l Love it. :wavey:

Ohhhhh...dang Bill. Sorry to hear that about your camera and lens. Hoping for you to get a fix! This is very nice light. I really like the glow from inside the flower. I wonder about doing something for the LRC...

Bill - Superb spot lighting effect --> shows how "crystalline" those petals are. Wonderful colors to go along.

Sorry to hear about the damage to the gear. I hope KEH will fix your 200mm quickly.

Gorgeous, glowing light, Bill, and eye-catching textures ! The LRC, as Nathan suggests, does fall a touch flat in an otherwise sparkling image. Keeping those fingers crossed for you re the lens !!
