Very cool, Patrick. You've had some great posts lately. This species even looks a bit comical in flight.

Fantastic, Patrick. The only thing that I see wrong with this photo is that my name is not in the corner. :toast:

Awesome shot Patrick! The head is sharp with a little wing blur. Great lighting. Nice smooth bg. Does not get better than that.

A good one, Patrick. Looks like late evening, flying into the sun?

This is a terrific picture. I love the brightness of the eye, the sharpness of the left wing, and the movement in the right wing.

Patrick,
That was a lot of fun shooting with you and Charlie. Thanks for coming out to my neck of the woods. Great image and wonderful light. These guys move fast and it's difficult to get these tack sharp but you did pretty well here. Love the wing positions and the eyes glowing in that late evening light. Hopefully you got a ton of images that you can share. That was a pretty epic shoot!

Patrick--Great capture. I especially like how the owl is looking up and forward and touch of blur in the wing show motion................Jim

Realizing how difficult it is to capture any bird in flight, I am really impressed with this, Patrick! Can't get better than this. Great pick-- congratulations on the WP!!
