Obviously a scene that has been shot countless times, but I still thought it might be worthwhile for me to share my take on it at super wide-angle. It's a composite of two exposures, one for the sky (-1/3 EV)and another for the formation (+1/3 EV). I had a person in the scene for scale. Full frame, larger image included.

It may have been "shot countless times" but it's only been seen once by me! Just excellent! One nit—the person nonchalantly leaning at a 20 degree angle makes me itch. I realize the lean is due to the WA, but leaving the person out of the picture may make the scale vague, but I could live with that. The place looks ginormous as it is.

I agree with Phil here, Bill. Such a well known site, I think the person detracts. Otherwise really nice.

Very nice shot Bill and an interesting take on this scene. Agree to clone person out and maybe bring down the highlights a bit. Very nice colors and sky though. Well done.

Beautiful, rich color and perfect exposure Bill.

Due to the person in the image I have moved this to M&N. Hope you understand.
