Ovenbird

I joined a local conservation group's bird walk a couple of weeks ago and we ran into several of these Ovenbirds hoping from the forest floor up onto low perches and back down again. The woods resonated with their song and the following day I decided that I had recovered well enough from my recent injury to go back and record what for me was another life bird.

This is wonderful! A tough bird to catch with decent light. Nice and sharp and a nice diagonal perch. Well done! Sharon

Cute little bird, nice details & comp Charles.
Great job exposing with the brighter BG, and the bird in shade.

Nice catch, Chuck. I don't recall seeing this species posted since I started out here. Great pose and perch.

Very nice shot of a difficult subject to get into view, let alone on a clean branch like this.

There's a bit of a color cast from the shade or surrounding greenery that I might try to reduce if this was mine, but it works as presented as well.

Charles,
Wonderful shot of a pretty cute bird. I wonder how the branch would look if you dodged it a bit. Glad you have recovered and are back in fine fettle. :toast:

This is a really nice sharp shot of this species Chuck, because the bird looks like it was in a bit of shade and the background is bright some fill flash would have really made this shine I think. :toast:
