Late afternoon light shining down on Mossy Grotto Falls, deep in the Columbia River Gorge. Tried coming up with a different perspective of the falls, would be interested in hearing your thoughts. See larger!

Pretty cool, Zack. I like the naturally vignetted comp and most of what I see. I think the brightness in the upper right could be toned down a little and some of the foliage in the upper left appears slightly out of focus. Other than that, damn near perfect. :toast:

Zack - My first thought was that there is a slight CCW tilt to the shot. I realize the falls do shoot out, the small dribble next to it should be a little more vertical? Otherwise , very cool. Love those trees in the mist of the falls.

Sweet light and color Zack. I remember on some site someone commented on the blurriness of the details on the rockface. I agree that a version which those details sharper might do well for this scene, especially since the rest of the foliage is quite crisp.

Nice different view, Zack, may a bit less brightness?

Love the lush greens and your unique perspective works very, very well. The light suffusing throughout really does give your image a dreamy mood. Excellent work, Zack.

A wonderful mood, Zack. I enjoy that soft glowing light and think this comp works very nice. Pretty cool scene for sure. Someday maybe I can make it to the Columbia River Gorge! :wavey:

If I had posted this people might be screaming over saturated! :)

I think it is a great shot.

A little glowy for my taste in the upper right corner and I'd take it down about 10pts in color mode for saturation...

Still really nice. :toast:

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Gary, good catch, I've since blended another image in to sharpen up the details in the upper left hand corner.

Harry, I think it's an illusion as I used the virtual horizon on my D300 to make sure it was level when I shot it.

Mark, thanks, I dialed down the sat in color mode and it looks better. I barely touched the sat slider in the first place, the added color must have been from the curves adjustments.
