Here's a female Marine Iguana that I photographed on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos a couple of years ago. Taken lying in the sand to get a low angle.

Truly a face nobly a mother could love. The textures are great. Well done.

Not just 'a mother', I love it, too! Nate, do you have any of them spurting the salt water out?

Thanks Jerry and Ajit, Ajit we did see a few spurting the salt water but I don't remember getting any really good shots of it.

Hello Nate
Crisp, Detailed, interesting textured skin folds.
Not too familiar with these fellas but looks like a guy that could be interesting to see interactions with?
Thanks for sharing

Hey Nate,
Nice "corporate" portrait - should be in a Galapagos annual report!
As others have mentioned - the wrinkles, folds, and other texture make this one really interesting. Wondering if a vertical crop (or original capture) might have been worth considering?
Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

I really appreciate a reflective eye in cold blooded species to make the shot so much more alive. Excellent portrait!

This guy looks like a gladiator.. All armored up for battle, with very commanding presence/attitude.
Great shot Nate
