First post in over six months! Very long winter, and I've been crazy busy. I do have a backlog of spring floral images I am trying to process and post. I'll start with these backlit tulips. Fellows Riverside Gardens, Nikon D600, Sigma 150 macro, 1/160, f8, iso 500, tripod mounted. Thanks for looking. Comments, questions, and suggestions welcome. :wavey:

Whoa Scott. Starting back off with a stunner! I love it. Great range of colors and nice back-lighting. Looks like stained glass. This is a tiny, tiny nit - but I think I would either crop or clone off the small 'v' at the top right of the right plant.

Superbly composed and lit, Scott ! The relationship between the two flowers is perfect, and the textures of the petals come through so well without disturbing the abstract harmonies of colour. Beautiful !!! ( and very nice indeed to see you posting again !!!! )

Very nice shot, Scott.
I like the colours and the light a lot. Your POV works very well here.

Oh…that is like luminarios…glow created by little candles nested within the blooms. the lines on the foreground tulip are so utterly perfect in sweep, smoothness, and colors. Makes us want a revisit now of tulip season…not to wait another 10 months!

Scott- Absolute Jaw Dropper :toast: :toast: --> vertical emphasis is so powerful here, so my suggestion is to fill red in that small V Nathan speaks of (instead of cropping)

Hi Scott :wavey: Love everything about this image. :jump:  Especially the light and colors... The luminescence and texture on the petals makes this a remarkable presentation :toast: :toast:

Wonderful close up and overall composition. I like the transition from seeing enough detail in the right tulip to the background blurred tulip. For me the right tulip would also make a nice vertical by itself. Well seen and well done.
