This shot of a chamomile daisy was taken in a wildflower patch in an old churchyard; I liked the way the flower and grasses intertwine.

The flower seems trapped in a web. I like the idea.
Take care Ian,

I like the simplicity of this and converging lines of the grass blades. Simplicity includes the soft almost hidden textures of the daisy. It is almost a story of nature's battle for space to see the flower victorious among the grasses.

Ian: Interesting effect with the grass. It almost looks like cracked glass in a frame. Well seen and captured.>=))>

Ian - I think the criss crossing of the grass reeds work very well here without being distracting. One of the very few instances I have seen this happening
Very nice frame

The criss-crossing blades add significant interest and artistry to this image, Ian. Cute title, too. I'd tone down the brightness of the daisy if that's possible but, as I just pointed out in another comment, this may just be an issue on my very contrasty Imac monitor. Fine image.

I do think the whiteness of the bloom needs to be toned down some, Ian. I wondered about the grasses at first, but I think they are growing on me a bit.

Ian,
In all honesty I don't know why this scaffolding works but it adds a lot of interest and depth to the image. The light and the dof/plane of focus make for a superb image. This is certainly one of my favorites from many.
