Comin' in for a landing

Captured this image in Alaska. This eagle was coming in for a landing on a tree directly in front of me. I liked the intense look on the eagles face.

Slight Crop from the top, other than that, full frame.

Canon 5D Mark III
500mm f/4 L with 1.4x TC
1/500 @ f/5.6
ISO 1250

NR applied to the river background.

Larger Version included.

Thanks for taking a look and providing your thoughts.

Gorgeous take here, Keith. Looks like this guy had some neat "hang time" going on......love the intense look you've mentioned, it is truly a key element to the image overall.
Sure miss my two years traveling the entire state of Alaska seeing sites such as this one......thanks for sharing.

Nicely done, Keith. The crop worked out well. Alternatively you could also add a bit of canvas at bottom - easy enough with the BG.

Perfectly caught. Excellent detail in typical Alaska weather.

Just Awesome Keith. The blacks and the whites are /beautifully exposed, Image is tack sharp, Tail is down, wing position is terrific and the eye and the talons put this over the top for me. And almost full frame. Lucky dog! :)
