Backlit pasqueflower. Image taken last week.

D90, 105mm, f/6.3, 1/125, ISO250, 90% of full frame. Cloned out a distracting hair.

I really like the back light effect and the larger image shows some wonderful flower detail especially in the center of the flower. This would of really stood out against a solid dark background but that may have not been possible with the angle of the light but a wonderful image as is, way to go.

Great DOF you achieved, especially for such a wide aperture. Your processing is superb in highlighting the flower, and in subduing the background.

Yun - Excellent lighting for this flower for which it really suits. Love all those "hairs" which are nicely seen in that light. The background is painterly and adds to the aesthetics.

Lovely rendition of this pasqueflower, Yun. The backlighting works to perfection to bring out the colors and highlight the "hair." Complementary bg, too.

Ditto to the many praising comments on the backlighting. I like the slit in petals revealing those dainty yellow stamens and the center purple fountain. Well done!
