Aspen Blur

When I saw this backlit Aspen against the dark hillside my first thought was to try moving the camera mid-exposure for a more abstract image. Perhaps to some this is more photo art, but to me that suggests heavy influence with the computer rather than the camera, an important distinction to me, so here it is in Landscape. All critiques very much appreciated.

I'm pretty much indifferent to the distinction Thomas. The yellow really pops against the black bg and for my tastes there's still enough detail in the leaves to make the image interesting. I like this as posted.

You're probably in the majority regarding the distinction Pat, glad the image works for you.

I like how you keep pushing yourself with new ideas and comps, Thomas. I think your instincts are right on the money. I like it alot.

Great concept that is nicely realized. I am usually ambivalent about blurs, but this one works well.

The movement looks great to me, set off by the dark background. The small tree adds some nice balance to the image. Reminds me of hair blowing in the wind. You used the wind to your advantage here.
