Yellow Warbler

While driving the back roads up around our cabin, I spotted an Orchard Oriole on this barbed wire. I pulled up slowly but the Oriole spooked and vacated (story of my life!), and this bright, little Yellow Warbler landed on the barbed wire near the same spot. (Sometimes I just get lucky!) Normally, I just would have the shot of barbed wire...! Sullivan Co, PA

This looks good, Sharon. Even the barbed wire seems to work. Simple colors and a clean background, not to mention the bug. Nice! :toast:

Very nice Sharon. Beautiful bird and a most interesting mouthful. For the kids. Vibrant color and a wonderful BG. I like the juxtaposition of the hard and the soft here - barbed wire and feathered bird. Looks to me like this is a favored spot as the wire under foot looks to have been shined up a bit from lots of little feet. Nice catch.

Excellent, Sharon. The worms make the shot.

I' too, have a lot of photos of the place where the bird just was...
