Night Flowers- Sunflower

I'm doing a series of flower photos in the dark of night. I hold an led light up to the subject, then shoot. I have found, that the colors of the flowers can appear so much richer than in the daytime. Plus, no pesky noise to take out.

Here is one view of a sunflower in my backyard. Another view, with one leaf painted out, is vertical and posted in the weekly challenge gallery. They are kind of "funky" compositions. I'd like to know what you think of each of them. Thanks

Lucy - Nice soft lighting for the Sunflower. Interesting to note your interest in a series to be shot in the dark.

I like the slight tilt in the flower also.

Edit : I saw one more in the Weekly Challenge Section. I like that composition better.

I like this one Lucy. Looking forward to seeing more. I too have found that the images shot at night with the help of some type of light do have a richer appearance.

As far as the funky comp, the leaves heading every which way add to the intrigue of the image.

Way to go.

I like the tiltawhirl comp and the rich color Lucy. I've never used artificial light but I shoot in very low light with long exposures and I think the flowers look richer because of it. I like this very much.
