June 14, 2014 in Poway, California. Feedback about my first post from this outing was that the eye was slightly soft. I hope this one passes muster. If not, new glasses for me.

Nikon D4 Nikkor 600mm ISO500 1/2000 f/8 RAW White balance auto Tripod with Wimberley Gimbal Processed in Lightroom, PSCC, NIK and TK.

Comments appreciated. Please let me know what I missed. :toast:

Well composed with a great matching perch. Head turn is nice and you've got a beautiful clean bg. Eye looks ok to me! Sharon

Hi Patrick,
I may be off to the eye doctor after this post but when viewing the larger image it appears that this image is just a tad soft although it's better than your prior post for sure. I think one more round of sharpening might do wonders for this.
What you do have is a beautiful bird in a nice pose and a stunning backdrop with a pretty good perch and a nice over the shoulder head turn. Who wouldn't take that any day of the week. One more round of sharpening and you have a killer image.
