Club Foot

This red eared turtle has a deformed back left foot which has made life a drag  This creek gets drainage from I45 among others and sometimes a sheen will appear after heavy rains from petroleum products washed down to the creek which drains into Trinity River..
Turtle Creek was named for the abundance of Turtles when discovered by the Texas Rangers in the 1850's.

Interesting image Rick. I find the green area beside the foot to be distracting, if you could knock down the highlights a bit it would be an improvement IMHO.
Thanks for sharing.

I agree the light is a little harsh but the subject is interesting. Curious if this is a one time event or are other turtles being found with deformities? That could lead to a long term environmental, photography project.
