That's My Glove

Donna and I have had dogs all of our married lives. However, we've been "dogless" since our black GSD Shadow died seven years ago when we still lived on Long Island.

Last month, we adopted a six month old mixed breed through Mary's Dogs, a rescue organization in NH. This is Gracie, who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in SC along with five of her littermates. She weighs about 27 pounds in this photo and will probably end up around 35 pounds fully grown. Compared to Risa and Shadow (RIP) our German Shepherds, she's a peanut!

While outside "assisting" Donna with some gardening chores, Gracie decided this glove would make a great chew toy. After a bit of negotiation, Donna was able to recover it.

It's always nice to have help with the chores. That is one lucky dog and even luckier humans. I'm sure you will bring much joy into each others' lives.

David, that is for sure!

Donna "hounded" me for the last few years about getting another dog. I wasn't sure I wanted the responsibility again but she wore me down. It has thus far turned out to be a good decision: the dog went from a death sentence to a life of being spoiled rotten and for both of us she is a 24/7 source of entertainment and affection!

When she's not tearing around the house, dragging the bath mat out of the bathroom, eating bugs or barking at inanimate objects, she's sacked out on one of the couches.
