Morning sun at Zabriskie Point, Death Valley.

Raw file processed in LR5, with TK resize/sharpening for web. Canon T3i, 1/200 s, f/6.3, ISO 200, EF 24-105 mm @ 98 mm, CPL

Please view the large image!

Seeking any and all advice and comments. Thanks in advance.

Those structures along the tops of the ridges may be foot trails. If that pushes this into Man & Nature, so be it.

Nice comp with the diagonally placed ridges and good quality of light and shadow. Nice Work, Ronald. Chet

Beautiful details and light. Can you open the shadows a little?

Great abstract pattern. For my tastes, I would not open up the shadows, as I find they contribute to the pattern quite nicely. Real nice and different take on Z Point.

I like this a lot, Ronald. The shadows look fine to me, and I agree with Harley's comment about them. The light and the diagonal comp really work well.

Very nice layers and textures, Ronald. I like the zebra striping in this image. Very nicely done. :toast:

I like this very much. The thing that struck me first was that I couldn't tell the scale of what is in the photo. Is this just small eroded channels on the shoulder of a road or is this large hills? I still don't know for sure. In that regard, this is a very successful image. I too like the diagonals in this. The alternating sunlit hills and the dark canyons is great. Nice color palette as well. Nice job.

Very interesting take, Ronald. Never having been there, it's difficult for me to comprehend the scale here, almost like a little beach scene, although it is much larger I'm sure. If mine, I would consider cropping up from the bottom to just above the darker wedge at the bottom RHS. Also agree that opening the shadows would be a good option. Very nice work.
