Water Lily

I had this side view of a water lily and decided to take some of its colors and pull them down. Not quite like a reflection …more smearing and motion-flow. And boosted saturation. Comments welcomed.

Ken ...this is fantastic ..love those water drops .and that extended color pull makes this close to real. Very well done ..

Like it as is, but how about using liquify to make a few slight movements to the "reflection?"

The lily colours look stunning against the dark background. I like the way the light seems to be focused on the centre of the flower as well. There seems to be a slight interruption in the flow of the reflection, could use a slight tweak maybe. Wonderful work. :toast:

Ken - Very pretty. I agree with the comment made that if the reflection had some waviness to it, it would have seemed a bit more natural.

This is wonderful, Ken. The combination of sharpness and blurring work so well against the black background.

This is magical Ken. The lighting and detail in the original image contrast wonderfully against the clean, dark BG and the flow of the smear beneath :toast:

Fabulous! The photo itself is gorgeous and then love what you did with the artistic interpretation. I agree, I'd like to see it with a few very subtle, barely there, ripples in the reflection -- just to see the effect. Great Pick as is!
